Welcome to Mind Bliss Yoga Academy. We are committed to creating a peaceful, respectful, and supportive environment where all students can grow in their practice of yoga. This Code of Conduct serves as a guide to ensure that every student contributes to the positive atmosphere of the school and upholds the values of mindfulness, integrity, and respect.

By enrolling in our classes and workshops, you agree to adhere to the principles and guidelines outlined in this Code of Conduct. We ask that all students support one another and maintain a commitment to the collective well-being of our community.

Respect for Self and Others

  • Personal Integrity: Personal Integrity: Each individual is expected to practice integrity and honesty. Honor your own limitations and always be honest with your progress and challenges.
  • Mutual Respect: Treat all members of the yoga school with kindness, respect, and consideration. This includes fellow students, teachers, and staff.
  • Non-Discrimination: We are a diverse community, and we welcome individuals of all backgrounds, ages, abilities, and experiences. Discrimination of any kind, whether based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, or physical ability, will not be tolerated.

Compassion and Mindfulness

  • Active Listening: Be present in class, listen attentively to the teacher and fellow students, and honor the shared space.
  • Non-Violence (Ahimsa): In line with the principle of Ahimsa, we encourage non-violence in thoughts, words, and actions. Practice kindness to yourself and others in all circumstances.
  • Responsibility: Take responsibility for your own practice. Avoid comparing yourself to others, and do not judge others for their practice or progress.

Commitment to Practice

  • Consistency: Regular attendance and full participation are key to the benefits of yoga. Show up with an open mind and a willingness to engage.
  • Focus and Effort: Make an effort to remain focused and mindful throughout your practice. Put your best effort into each session, while respecting your body’s limits.
  • Growth Mindset: Yoga is a journey. Embrace your progress, no matter how small, and remain open to growth and learning.

Safe and Supportive Environment

  • Respect for Teachers: Teachers are here to guide you and help you improve. Approach their guidance with openness and trust. Any concerns or feedback should be addressed with respect and thoughtfulness.
  • Personal Space: Maintain the appropriate personal space in classes and respect others' physical boundaries. Seek permission before assisting or adjusting another classmate.
  • Physical Safety: Be mindful of your body’s limitations. Do not push yourself into a posture that causes discomfort or injury. Inform the teacher of any injuries or conditions that may affect your practice.

Cleanliness and Hygiene

  • Clean Mats and Props: Clean your yoga mat before and after class, and ensure that any props used are returned in good condition.
  • Personal Hygiene: Please maintain personal cleanliness. Arrive for class in appropriate, clean attire and with a fresh mind and body.

Confidentiality and Privacy

  • Respecting Confidentiality: Any personal or sensitive information shared in the context of the yoga community should be kept confidential. This applies to both student-teacher relationships and peer interactions.
  • Sharing Your Journey: Yoga is a personal practice. While sharing experiences is encouraged, be mindful of others’ privacy and comfort levels.

Punctuality

  • Arrive on Time: Arriving on time for classes is important. It allows you to fully benefit from the session and shows respect for both the teacher and your fellow students.
  • Late Arrivals: If you must arrive late, enter the room quietly, set up your space, and join the practice without disturbing others.

Use of Technology

  • Minimal Distractions: Please silence your phone and avoid using electronic devices during classes to maintain focus and presence.
  • Respect for the Class: If necessary, step out of the room briefly rather than disrupt the session.

Community Spirit

  • Supportive Environment: Yoga is a community practice. Engage with fellow students in a spirit of camaraderie, offering encouragement and positivity.
  • Constructive Feedback: Offer feedback or concerns in a constructive manner, with the aim of supporting the growth of the school and its members.

Ethical Behavior

  • Honesty and Integrity: Always be truthful in your communications and interactions. Honor the commitment you have made to yourself and the practice.
  • Non-Attachment: While progress in yoga can be fulfilling, refrain from becoming overly attached to results, accolades, or comparisons with others.

Refund Policy

General Refund Policy

  • Non-Refundable Fees: Certain fees, including registration fees, membership fees, or special event/retreat fees, are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Refund Eligibility: Refunds are only available for class packages, courses, or memberships that are paid in full and are requested according to the guidelines outlined in this Code of Conduct.
  • No Refunds for Individual Classes: Refunds will not be given for individual missed classes unless otherwise specified in the agreement or special circumstances arise (e.g., medical emergencies).
  • Written Request: All refund requests must be submitted in writing, via email or formal letter, to info@mindblissyogaacademy.com, stating the reason for the request. Please include your full name, date of purchase, and the class/course you are seeking a refund for.

Refund Scenarios and Conditions

  • Course Cancellation by the School: If the yoga school cancels a course or class, a full refund will be provided to all affected students. The registration amount is nonrefundable in any circumstances.
  • Withdrawal from Classes or Programs: Students who wish to withdraw from a course or program must notify the school in writing within 20 days after the start of the course to qualify for a refund. The amount refunded will be based on the portion of the course attended. If withdrawal happens after [X] number of classes, no refund will be granted.
  • Injury or Medical Reasons: If a student is unable to continue classes due to an injury or medical reason, a 50% maximum refund may be issued on a case-by-case basis. A medical certificate from a licensed healthcare provider may be required.
  • Injury or Medical Reasons: In cases where a student cannot continue with their current classes but wishes to continue with the school, class transfers to another program or session may be allowed instead of a refund.
